In our experience, some businesses fall in the trap of “design and execute” and forget just how important strategic planning is to sustainable growth. Others are great at planning, but struggle to find qualified talent to fill the positions needed to execute on the strategy. Still others fall down on developing their most valuable resource – their people – through structured training and mentoring programs. And, regardless of the quality of the plan, the people or the training, some companies don’t make structured, effective management a priority, and while short term growth may occur, sustainable growth is elusive.
